Birmingham Conservatoire approached us to create an updated visual identity for the prominent, international music school and concert venue.

Deliverables included a heritage stamp to be used on all printed and digital media, a dynamic, top-level graphic as well as 9 department-level graphics and a new colour scheme. Research focused on visual representations of music and other gestural mark-making and form to create a varied set of shapes. Each shape was inspired by particular sounds of the instrument groups as well as their physical attributes.

The new identity was applied to top-quality, Italian made paper bags, external vinyl graphics and a brochure containing a brief description of the course options available to new students as well as numerous press adverts, flyers, banners and HTML emails.
